TornCrew is an unofficial, fan-made tool for the game Torn (torn.com), built and run by JohnBattlefield [3663890]. It is not affiliated with Torn. This page explains what data TornCrew handles and why.
Your Torn API key and, if you add one, your FFScouter API key. Both are stored only in your own browser's local storage. They are sent only to Torn's official API and, respectively, FFScouter's API, directly from your browser - never to TornCrew's own servers.
To run the account and payment side of the service, we store: your Torn ID and username, your scan usage and history counts, payment records (the amount of Xanax sent and when), and referral relationships (who referred whom). This is the minimum needed to grant access, track paid plans, and pay out referral rewards. If you add a Job Seekers listing, we also store that listing (your Torn ID, username, message, work stats and EE) so other users can see it, until you remove it or for 14 days at most. The administrator can remove any listing.
TornCrew's search results are built from Torn's public Hall of Fame leaderboard and public profile data. To make repeat searches faster for everyone, we also maintain a shared cache of basic activity and employment status for players encountered during searches - this is not tied to any TornCrew account, is limited to data already visible through Torn's public API, and automatically expires after 30 days. The Job Seekers page reads Torn's public job-seeking forum thread and public player profiles using your own API key, directly from your browser. The level, job and faction it finds for those players may be added to the same shared cache, so other TornCrew users don't have to look the same players up again. Company Insights shows Torn's public company data (company names, star ratings, staff counts, income, customers and director IDs), collected once a day with TornCrew's own API key.
TornCrew uses Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookie-free by design. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your browser, and does not collect personal data - it reports aggregated page-view counts only.
Account, payment and referral records are stored in Airtable. The shared player-activity cache is stored in Upstash (Redis). The site itself is hosted on Vercel. None of these providers are used to sell or share your data with advertisers.
You can ask to have your account data (Torn ID, username, scan/payment/referral records) deleted at any time by messaging JohnBattlefield in Torn. If you are in the EU/EEA, this reflects your rights under GDPR to access, correct, or request deletion of your data.
If a change to TornCrew affects what data is collected or how it's used, this page will be updated and the date above will change accordingly.
